Pregnant Yoga

Pregnancy is a state of health, full of joy and fulfilment, but sometimes we cannot finish enjoy it for the emotional swings, doubts, fear and physical discomfort.

Classes “pregnant yoga” serve to break free from both emotional and physical stresses, besides being a very good preparation for childbirth.

Emotionally, we will be working the state of inner stillness, releasing the fear and returning to trust in our body, in the baby and in the life.

Physically, we will do yoga postures to relieve discomfort such as sciatica, stress on the back, pubic overload, fluid retention, among others.

And as childbirth preparation, we work with postures that can help you in this moment, as well as breaths, sounds, visualizations and psychological tricks so you can fully enjoy the birth of this new life.

Moreover, sharing this moment with other women living the same as you, makes you have that feeling of tribe, heat among women that we all need.

The yoga class will be a magical moment just for you and your baby, to listen him and connect with him and with your power. Enjoy it.

 

How is one of our classes?

In arrive we will stand with crossed legs and sing 3 times the Om mantra. This way, we will connect with ourselves and with the baby and we will finish leaving the outside world behind the Mamayoga windows.

Our classes are characterized by dynamism; so, you will move your spine, you will put strong your legs and buttocks, you will lengthen lumbar, you will take care of the sciatic nerve, you will activate the circulation of the whole body, you will open your pelvis, preparing it for childbirth, and a long etcetera. Always reminding you to listen to yourself, that you know your limit and leave the self-demand, the postures don’t have to be “perfect”, they have to sit you well. In all movements or postures we will take into account the baby, who lives in you and who also enjoys the session.

In each class we will work a lot on breathing, as well as the awareness of the pelvic floor. Depending on the objective of that session we will use balls or physioballs, we will dance, we will make breaths or postures for childbirth.

After the action comes the break, so we will lie on the left side with breastfeeding cushions so that you are more comfortable and so we will enjoy a few minutes of relaxation. Now is moment of meditation, singing a mantra or in silence. As we always say, pregnant women are more intuitive than at any other time in their lives, so it is vital to have moments of internal listening. Singing mantras opens the heart, relaxes the uterus and although you think you sing badly, your baby loves it!

Finally, we said goodbye with the “Eternal Sun”, a prayer for you and your baby.
