Carrying your baby close not only makes daily life easier, but also strengthens your emotional bond, regulates their nervous system, and allows you to respond more readily to their needs. Ergonomic babywearing is an age-old practice that, when done correctly, promotes the healthy development of the baby and the physical well-being of the wearer.
It's common to have doubts when starting out. Perhaps you don't know what type of baby carrier to choose (wrap, backpack, sling, etc.), some positions are uncomfortable, or you find it difficult to adjust the straps properly. You might also already be babywearing but want to improve your technique, learn new options, or adapt to changes such as your baby's growth, a new developmental stage, or carrying two children.
There's no single right way to babywear. During our consultation, we assess your individual situation: your baby's age, your body, your routines, and the type of carrier that best suits you. The goal is for you to find a comfortable, safe, and sustainable way to carry your baby and to enjoy this special time with confidence.
During the session, I'll guide you step by step. Together, we'll learn how to position the baby, adjust the carrier correctly, and choose the most suitable model for your needs. I'll teach you how to identify an ergonomic posture (back in a "C" shape, legs in an "M" shape) and how to take care of your own body while doing it.
My goal is for you to leave the session feeling safe, comfortable, and able to listen to your baby through babywearing.
You can book your consultation in person or online, whichever is more convenient for you. In both cases, we work at your own pace and with ample time.
Am Cris Moe, I am a maternity, babywearing, and breastfeeding consultant with over ten years of experience supporting families through their first steps. I am also part of the Mamayoga team. My approach is personal, respectful, and realistic. It's not about making it "perfect," but about finding what works best for you.
