Have you ever wondered what it would be like to resume your yoga practice and reconnect with yourself after a break… without feeling pressure, without comparing yourself to others, and feeling supported? Today we invite you to do so from a place of calm, from your roots, and discover why Mamayoga is the perfect space for this reunion with yourself.

Returning to yoga after a break

Sometimes we put yoga aside for a while, because summer arrives, because life changes, or simply because we get overwhelmed. And that's okay, really. But beyond pausing our routine, sometimes we also drift a little away from our bodies, our breath, that calm that makes us feel present. And without realizing it, stress appears, along with the rush, or that little voice that demands too much of us.

Returning to yoga isn't about doing it "like before." It's about returning from where you are today, gently, respectfully, and with a desire to feel good again.

At Mamayoga, we're with you every step of the way. You can come to the center, practice from home, or combine both: you choose your way back and your pace.

A gentle invitation to resume your practice

We know that getting back into your routine after a break can be a little difficult. That's why this autumn we want to support you in that return, calmly and gently.

In our Virtual Classroom, we've prepared a very special corner for you: a space to reconnect with your practice, your breath, and yourself. It's a series of classes taught by our teacher, Sol Mirábile.

Seed Stage: Connecting with the Root

As with any return, there's a first step: planting the intention to come back. That little seed that tells you, "It's time to reconnect," without rushing and with lots of love.

In our Seed class: Connecting with the Root, we blend the gentleness of Yin with the strength of Hatha to help you regain inner stability and balance. Through gentle postures and deep breathing, you gradually return to inhabiting your body, feeling your feet on the ground, and grounding yourself in the present moment.

Our mantra for this stage is: “I trust, I take root,” a simple but powerful reminder: returning starts from the root, from the body you inhabit today, just as it is.

Core Stage: sustaining oneself through change

After planting the seed, it's time to strengthen the center. In our Core practice: Supporting Yourself Through Change, we invite you to flow with a gentle and mindful Vinyasa, designed to activate the core and reconnect with that sense of inner support that we sometimes forget.

As you move with presence, you discover that even amidst change there is stability… and that your body can be that refuge you can always return to when everything around you is transforming. The mantra that accompanies us in this practice is: “I am held, I am stable.”

Because every breath reminds you that within you there is a force that cares for you and sustains you, even when routine takes hold again.

The final stages of the journey: Expansion and Flourishing

After sowing, taking root and strengthening your center, come the most luminous phases of this journey with Sol: Branches and Flower.

Two practices that invite you to open up, breathe more deeply, and blossom from within, finding balance between energy and calm. These classes are filled with presence, tenderness, and mindful movement—a beautiful way to conclude for those who wish to continue growing from their roots.

If you'd like to try it, you can access the Mamayoga Virtual Classroom for free for 10 days and experience the complete series. During those days, you'll have access to over 60 hours of recorded classes, live sessions every week, and real support—both online and in person—during this transformative time.

How to start your return to yoga

Sometimes the hardest part is simply getting started, right?

So make it easy: book without pressure. Choose a day and time that suits you, without searching for the perfect moment. Start wherever you are, however you are.

Breathe with intention. Ask yourself: Why do I want to return? To calm my mind? To move my body? To feel more present?

There's no right answer. Only your truth, and that's enough. And above all, celebrate the little things. Every class, every deeper breath, every pose you get a little better at. Because returning to yoga isn't about pushing yourself... it's about rediscovering the joy of being yourself.

What you'll notice when you make yoga a habit

When you reintroduce yoga into your week, even just once, you notice it right away. Your body begins to shift: your posture improves, tension eases, and you feel like you're moving with more awareness.

Your mind also finds its place: you feel more centered, more serene, even when life gets intense. And the most beautiful thing… you feel accompanied again. At Mamayoga, you are not alone: there is a Tribe of women who are also returning, breathing, learning to listen to themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I resume yoga even if it's been a long time since I last did it?

Absolutely. At Mamayoga, we adapt each class to your current situation. It doesn't matter how much time has passed: what's important is that you return to your own pace, gently and without comparing yourself to others.

What if I have little time each week to practice?

That's great too. Really. You can try the online option, choose shorter sessions, or start with one class a week. What matters isn't how much you do, but how you feel while doing it.

Do I need to have done yoga before to sign up?

Not at all. Mamayoga is for everyone: for those starting out, for those returning, and for those who simply need a space to breathe. All you need is the desire to take care of yourself and reconnect with yourself.
